Q: How much will I get paid to wrestle?

Short answer: Somewhere between nothing and "the sky’s the limit."

More info: Like many of the questions about success in the wrestling business, the answer lies within the individual student and what they offer the promotion (charisma, look, promo ability, athleticism, attitude, etc). Many students starting out make little to nothing, due to the fact that their participation in shows may be considered a part of their training experience. IPW, for example, has paid as much as $600 to a single wrestler, but the average payoff per show is typically much lower. Wrestlers who move onto different markets can substantially increase their income, especially those who work for a nationally televised promotion.
