Ian Wellington. 3) James Jeffries defeated Ian Wellington.
I, Referee Billy J, was knocked down in the match. I heard from people

polaroid pictures with fans in the ring. 4) Jimmy Rockwell and Ricky Kwong defeated
Maddog Mcdowell and Flav in a tag team match. 5) IPW Heavyweight Champion Montoya X

at the Des Moines Social Club in Des Moines, Iowa Show with NWA Pro out of California March 1,2009 in Sioux Falls, South
Dakota at the Sioux Falls Arena Show account done by Marshall Scott Hey everybody, I just wanted to give a update on the NWA
show that took place on Sunday. It was an awesome experience, and I
thought some people would be interested in how it went. WARNING... this is a bit of a back stage
perspective. First off, it was amazing to get there and
set up the ring in a building that can hold around 6000 people. A true
arena show. Lighting crews working and setting up spot lights and great
ring lighting... just an awesome vibe in the building. IPW wrestlers who worked the show was
Montoya X, Wicked Lester Brody, Tony Sly, AJ Smooth and myself. Montoya and Brody started off the show. I
didn't get to see all of the match since I was up second, but what I
did see looked good. I could hear Brody yelling on his way to the ring,
and I honestly don't think the crowd knew how to respond. They were
intimidated. X got bloodied a bit in the match (Karma? :) ) The STO and
Frog Splash got a big pop. I was up next working the a guy from
Florida who wrestles as Sheik. It was fun working with a more
experienced guy. It sounds like NWA has some plans for him, and I am
glad I got to be a part of it. I have to admit it was really weird
hearing Stronger hit in the arena, and getting ready to go out. I was
nervous, but mostly because I had to work face (that is the first time
I have done that infront of a crowd) but I think it went okay. Little
Johny cheerleader I am not. I didn't get to see much of Tony Sly's
match, since I was changing in the back, but I heard it was good. He
faced Arik Cannon. I think that both were happy about it. Arik gave Sly
a big compliment when he said that Sly did a great job tonight, because
he did really well selling photos. There was a great tag team match between
the Young Bucks and the SkullKrushers. It was awesome... well put
together, well paced, with lots of highspots and big moves. The crowd
loved it. (Flav... we have some work to do) AJ faced Silas Young for the NWA Midwest
Title. It was an awesome match, and drew a lot of heat from the crowd
(more than the main event in my opinion). AJ looked on point through
the whole match, with no visible mistakes. Awesome. This great back and
forth encounter ended with Silas hitting the Turnbuckle headstand in to
and Arabian press for the win. I have to say that AJ did an amazing job
in his match. I could have been the match of the night in almost any
indy promotion. If it wasn't for the tag team match which I thought
kind of stole the show, AJ would of had the match of the night. One
thing that has to be pointed out... the Young Bucks and the Krushers
worked a tv taping together already, and have worked in the past. AJ
met Silas Young for the first time yesterday (or at least this is the
first time they worked together) and they did great. Angel Armani was
blown away by AJ, and singing his praises to who ever would listen. The main event featured Big King V
(Viscera) vs Mitch Paradise. I caught the start of the match, and it
was weird seeing Mitch be the little guy in the ring. On a sidenote,
Viscera was a really nice guy, and a total class act. I have to say a HUGE thank you to Troy and
Travis for making this happen, and letting me be a part of it. It was
an awesome experience. EDIT: One thing I should point out is I
didn't review all the matches. Several people were there from 3XW (in
fact, Todd was the ref for our match) and I don't want anybody to think
I was leaving them off on purpose. February 28,2009 in Algona, Iowa at the
Vault Results provided by Davegoheel Here is the official PR team's review of
the show today. Overall, it was freaking awesome. The
whole show was fantastic. From top to bottom. Awesome. Supa Cito Kid d. Project Matthew.
Fantastic way to start of the show. The crowd was a little quiet at the
beginning, but they perked up in no time. Matthew is one of the most
impressive technical wrestlers that IPW has, and with Cito's high
flying that match can't fail. From planchas to armdrags, it was nonstop
action. Cito ended up picking up the victory with a viscious Code Red.
Pure impact. The Carnage Coalition d. Cool and Unusual.
Every new guy that IPW has had come in has impressed me so much. I've
made it no secret that I'm a mark for Sparrow and Kinkade, along with
Picture and Free. The Carnage Coalition, despite being huge jerks, have
won a fan in me after landing a sick Wheelbarrow Cutter combination. Montoya d. Marshal Scott w/ Flav. Under
conditions that Flav and Marshal Scott 2.0 cheated there way into,
Montoya was put up against huge odds in overcoming them and maintaining
his IPW World Heavyweight Championship. However, no odds are to big for
the big guy and he pulled out the victory with a huge Frog Splash off
of the top rope. INTERMISSION. Always fun. Stupid fat kids.
Cito knows who I'm talking about. Tony Sly d. AJ Smooth and JustIn Decent to
maintain the IPW Extreme Title in a Three Way Dance. The whole match
was....well...awesome. Smooth ended up scoring the first pin on Decent,
knocking him out. He hit his signature Fireman's Carry Facebreaker (the
official name, Mr. Smooth?) to put him away. However, Tony caught him
off guard and hit him with the old schoolboy. Nice. Ian "Beef" Wellington d. James Jeffries.
Wow, James really had some "stiff" competition in this one. He had to
"take it to him hard". In all seriousness, however, it was a great
match. This was even better then the first time these two met, and that
didn't dissapoint either. The AFTERMATH: Special guest Referee Matty
Star showed his true colors and hit James with a sick lariat. After a
furious beatdown, Matty hit James with what has got to be the most
dangerous move that I've ever seen in IPW - The Package Piledriver. I
marked out, honestly marked out, for the move. Ask Clay, ask Alec, even
Sparrow might have seen me - I was speechless. Star was about to hit
another one onto a steel chair, until the IPW locker room came out to
protect Jeffries. Mr. F d. TS Aggressor. These guys were
incredible. No surprise to anyone, I'm sure, but they put on fantastic,
old-school storytelling wrestling. The piledriver was awesome. I didn't
realize how much I missed that move in the midst of all of the
high-class piledrivers of today (Canadian Destroyer, Psycho Driver,
Omega Driver). Both guys are extremely gifted wrestlers and I was
impressed. However, while substitue ref Troy was down and out, Mr. F
revealed his true identity. If you didn't see it, I guess you'll never
know. Overall, that was just an awesome, awesome
show. Here are the Top Ten Moments of the Night: 10. Flav's shirt getting ripped open. At
first, I was devastated because I thought that the signature shirt was
destroyed. Luckily, it was just opened up for a huge chop from Montoya.
9. AJ Smooth is "The Cat's Pajamas". I'd
never heard to expression before, so I misheard it, but I was pretty
sure that AJ referred to himself as "The Cat's Vagina". No surprise, AJ
is his own biggest fan. 8. IPW fans banning together to nearly
boot loud cussing fan. I love it when the fans are loud, and I love it
when they're involved. However, when you start cussing like he was with
kids all around, someone has to draw the line. The rest of the IPW fan
united and nearly kicked him out. Props to Jasinda for starting the
trend. 7. Wheelbarrow Cutter Combination by
Carnage Coalition. I love all moves to come out of the wheelbarrow
position, and double team moves make it even better. With moves like
CIMA/Ryo's Wheelbarrow Lungblower and SAT's Maximum Impact, I have high
expectations for this position. They did NOT dissapoint. 6. TS Aggressor's old school piledriver.
I've already said this, but I missed that time. The move brought back
some old AWA memories. They still show it late at night on ESPN. 5. Double Bak Bak Elbow. Tony Sly's
signature move is always fun to watch, but when JustIn Decent adds into
it, it's the best. Period. 4. Cito's Code Red. It doesn't matter who
does it or what it's called, be it Yoshi Tonic, Code Red, Code Green,
or Texas Piledriver (SvR edition), it's an awesome move. To see
somebody in IPW hit it is always awesome. It's entertaining, and it's
impactful. 3. Mr. F reveals his identity. I'm still
not saying who it was. You should know if you were at the show. If you
weren't at the show, then you don't deserve to know!! Just kidding. But
at the risk of getting him banned for life, it will remain secret ;). 2. Matty Star's Package Piledriver.
Seriously, this would be Number 1 at almost any other show, except for
the number one on this list. Star's Package Piledriver was not only
awesome, but it was stiff as well. 1. TS Aggressor throws kid's hat!! This
kid is annoying me and he always screams. Maybe if he had some more
intelligent insults, but no. When Aggressor threw his hat - AWESOME!! February 21,2009 in Marion, Iowa at the
Praire Hill Pavilion Results provided by Davegoheel The show was, as always, awesome. It was
totally worth the drive, although now I'm in a bit of a pickle as to
finding a ride to the show next weekend. Here are the results. James Jeffries d. Shawn Roman. Shawn is
incredible and somebody that I really want to meet. His mic skills are
above amazing and he's got the ability to match it. As well, Jeffries
never fails to impress me. The roofs were a little low, which prevented
alot of flying, but it didn't matter as their was some top rope action
anyways. Ian "Beef" Wellington and Flav d. JustIn
Decent and Thrillcat. This was easily the funniest match of the night.
The original sequence at the beginning was halarious, and some of the
pin attempts by Decent were incredible. There are alot of things that
still remain a mystery to me about IPW as far as kayfabe goes I found
out later that night. This was also one of my most interactive match as
Ian verbally owned me. I need to get better at thinking on my feet. The Big Picture vs. Nicky Free. I didn't
get to see the whole match as I was very busy with doing some things
for Clay and myself, but from what I saw it was awesome. A top
contender for best line of the night from a crowd member happened
during this match. It got quite a few laughs and many enjoyed the
match. Tony Sly b. Project Matthew. This
completes the perfect trifecta (I can't spell; don't judge) of matches
between these two. I think that Sly is phenomenal and Project Matthew
is one of the most talented guys in the company. They are both guys
that I love to highlight in videos (forgot the camera!), and both men
hit some of their signature moves throughout the match. Correct me if
I'm wrong, but does PM call his Rope Assisted Neckbreaker the Power
Chord? And Tony Sly ended the match with a SoCal Driver on the chair.
Luckily, I payed otherwise that could have been me :X Intermission, kind of. It was interesting
to see Sparrow, who probably knew 7/8 of the crowd, cut a promo with
Smooth. I didn't get to talk to alot of guys, but it was still good to
get up and stretch. Latin Thunder d. Supa Cito Kid. This match
was one of the highest points of the night, simply because both of
these men are awesome workers. The crowd was into it and Cito did more
flying then in almost any other match, despite the depressing ceiling.
The pescado, the senton off of the apron - priceless. Sparrow d. AJ Smooth. The energy generated
by this match was awe-striking, and it was held throughout almost the
entire match. Sparrow did a great job feeding off of it and AJ was a
huge asshole as always. Montoya X d. TS Aggressor. It was the
perfect way to cap off the night, and Montoya played it perfectly. I
still need to talk to Montoya as much as I can, as he's one of the few
guys that still doesn't know me. Some of the heel anticts during this
match were awesome, especially when BJ (haha) got pulled out of the
ring. It was a fantastic show. I'm really tired,
so I'll make the Top Ten moments of the show later. January 24, 2009 at the IPW Vault in
Algona Results provided by Davegoheel Chuck, you're awesome. The commentary
during the matches was fantastic. Anyways, here is what The PR Team (that's
our new posse's name Fit) thought about the show. Johny Fitness coming out and showing WLB
up was awesome. Thrillcat is always fun to watch, and the signature
"Jump Up" music is priceless. James Jeffries vs. Ian was another fun
match to see, as I'd be waiting for it for quite some time now. I'm
expecting the rematch to be even better! The Number One's Contender match was
incredible. I always love the Big Picture and Nicky Free and neither
one of them dissapointed me. I think that they will have a future in
this business, even outside of IPW. And Devin Carter even showed up! I
love watching Devin and I think that he's a tremendous heel, worker,
and entertainer. I'm excited for the Smooth, Decent, Sly match up,
although I'm sad to see the PM/Sly fued ended so abruptly as I thought
that was really picking up some heat. Montoya and Cito was a spectacular match,
as these two men always promise to put on a show. When Montoya kicked
out of the Code Red (official name?) I just about flipped a tit.
Although I never did see the Dragonsteiner that I love (yes, as James
Jeffries pointed out, that was me yelling Dragonsteiner), it was still
an awesome match. Although for some reason I was reminded of something
- - Cito has a serious lack of Diving Hurricanranas.... Anyways, Marshall Scott 2.0 and Flav vs.
the Main Attractions was another great match and I'm glad that my dad
saw all of the new guys. He never thought that they'd get this good,
and this is only their third match!! I can't wait to see what happens
to Sparrow and Kinkade, both men are fantastic. And 2.0 is becoming a
better heel by the day. Tony Sly & Project Matthew!! I'm
really, really enjoying this fued right now, especially with the
weapondry involved. I think that it's used at the right times and it
adds to the excitement. I knew that we were in for something special
when TS and Troy took the tarp thing of of the canvas. So those were my match thoughts. I still
give the best match of the night to Tony Sly/Project Matthew, but they
all could easily have been Number 1. Here were our Top Ten moments of the
night: 10. BJ (haha) getting beaten up during the
8-Man number one contender's match. Sorry BJ (haha!), but ref's getting
hurt is halarious! 9. Meeting Montoya and Smooth. AJ was fun
to talk to and was actually not an asshole. Montoya was nice, but he
had no idea who the f*ck either of us were. Surprisingly, I think
Project Matthew knew who we were. 8. WLB demasking Thrillcat to find Mr. F.
It was early in the show and the crowd wasn't into it yet, but it was
still fun to watch and Wicked's facial expression after finding Mr. F
were awesome. 7. JustIn getting thrown into the snow. I
don't know if he was actually put in snow, but he was tossed outside
which was entertaining. JustIn is one of the funniest men that I've
ever seen wrestle, and he's quick to come up with halarious things to
do/say. 6. Chair falling on Project Matthew's
head. I'm sorry, but this was one of those moments in wrestling that
just make you laugh. It seemed like Sly was starting to get pissed at
the damn chair for falling, and it was made even funnier by the memory
of the ladder falling on PM at Crystal Lake! 5. Cito's Pescado to the outside. I think
it was the first dive over the top rope I've seen Cito do thus far at
the Vault, and I just love the move. It's simple, yet it's devastating.
It's DELICIOUS! The fact that it was right in front of us made it even
better! 4. Montoya bringing the match into
"Overtime". Nobody likes to see matches end in DQ/Countout, so
obviously Montoya making sure that there was a pinfall made it a great
match and I think it got the small crowd involved. 3. Kinkade's Springboard Rana. I
absolutely love this move, no matter who does it. I'm a sucker for all
hurricanrana's and to see one of this caliber done in person is
phenomenal. Hopefully, Kinkade will continue to add on to his arsenal
of aerial manuevers (long words!) and improve throughout the years! 2. Montoya Kicking out of the Code Red. It
was just awesome. Period. 1. Tony Sly going through the table! This
was the first time that I've seen a TABLE used in IPW, and the first
time a weapon was ever broken in my eyes LIVE! I'm eating up this
Sly/PM fued, and I'm sad to see the number one contender's match so
soon, although it will be a fantastic match.
Algona, IA

Sparow d. Marshall Scott to retain the IPW Extreme Title.
This match was a fantastic show-starter. Sparrow was able to capture
the win with the amazing Wheelbarrow Flip Facebuster onto a Chair!
Santa Clause and "Elf" Ugly d. Shawn Roman and Spiderman. A great match
that brought many laughs to the crowd and really got things going at a
fast pace. Memorable quotes included "Get your tuckus in here!" and
"You'll shoot your eye out!"
A returning Mic Mayhem d. Montoya X. Many fans were not excited
when "mini me" was able to pick up the win over the Goliath, but due to
working over his injured knee, Mic was able to outdo him.
Nate Alsin kills Anthony Draven...I mean defeats. Newcomer Nate Alsin
was able to hit some huge moves, including the Spear and a sickening
spinout slam.
Big Picture d. Tony Sly. These men, whom both tower over six foot, went
straight to the action, and The Big Picture was able to pick up the win
with his Leveraged Complete Shot, the "Kodak Moment"
AJ Smooth d. Nicky Free in a underhanded manner with a snake eyes. AJ
was able to retain the title, but it's just a matter of time.

Commentary: Davegoheel
I thought that the show got progressively better. The beginning of the
show was great, but by the end, it was pretty damn amazing. Principal
Dan kicked some ass. Overall, I'd consider it a success, even if the
crowd was a little on the light side.
AJ Smooth d. Matty Star via KTFO
A pretty good way to start off the show that saw a decent amount of
crowd reaction and some good technical wrestling. Lots of back and
forth action, but AJ controlled the larger chunk of the match.
Highlights were AJ's Heartbreaker, Matty Star's Cannonball, and AJ's
KTFO for the win.
Tony Sly d. Marshal Scott via Grind King
A match that saw a great deal of technical and chain wrestling,
alongside some good back and forth. I thought that Marshal had one of
the lines of the night with the "Last time I take advice from a fat
guy" thing. Highlights were Marshal Scott's HUGE Spinebuster, Scott's
Lightning Spiral (name?), and Tony Sly's Grind King (double underhook
neckbreaker).
Trillcat/Ugly (w/ Kiandra) d. Jayson Kinkaid/Project Matthew
via School-Boy Roll-Up
Another good match that had a good amount of comical work in it.
Matthew and Kinkaid did a good amount of damage to both men, although
I'd have to say that Trillcat and Ugly controlled for the larger
portion of the match, if memory serves correctly. Highlights of the
match are the Double Pony Ride, Thrillcat's Frog-Umbrella Assisted
Standing Guillotine Leg Drop, and the candy that I got from the lovely
Kiandra.
James Jeffries d. Sparow via Rope-Assisted Stack
One of the most energetic matches of the night, to say the least. Both
guys had some big moves pulled out all of the stops. A very pink James
Jeffries came out to the screaming of fans calling him "Jonas". Anybody
else see the resembalance? Highlights of the match was James's Chemical
Imbalanche II, Sparrow's Swinging Neckbreaker, James's Shiranui, and
James's Moonsault. Sparrow also made a pretty sick Crossbody, if I do
say so myself. One of the best I've seen yet.
INTERMISSION
Nicky Free d. "Latin Skillz" Montoya X via Rock Bottom/Leg Drop
A match that had a lot of crowd reaction and a good powerhouse vs
powerhouse feel. This was also the first match I had ever done
commentary on, and let me tell you, the match was much better then the
way I probably made it sound. I'm pretty sure that "shoulder block" and
"Rock Bottom/Atomic Leg Drop Combo" came off in the same monotonous
voice. Highlights of the match were Montoya X's body slams on Nicky,
Nicky's body slams on Montoya, and the Rock Bottom/Atomic Leg Drop
combo I mentioned earlier.
Matty Star/Kurt/Brad d. TS Aggressor/AJ Smooth/Flav via
Lionsault
Probably the best match of the night IMO, and it should've been, seeing
as it was the main event. Burnside firefighters Kurt and Brad assisted
Matty Star in a win over the threesome. After the Lionsault, which had
the fans on their feet, Kurt and Brad came in a tossed around a few
guys. Then Principal Dan came in an gave Flav the body slam of his
life. By the end, the crowd was going psychotic.
Fantastic action during the whole show. I'm glad that I could be a part
in any way at all, even if it is commentary. Thanks to everybody for
coming to the show, be it wrestlers or fans.

the floor. When it's down to the last 4, the rules change and the only
eliminations are pinfall and submission. Also, there will be no DQ with
the last 4 men in the ring. The winner of the match receives a shot at
the IPW Title of his choice.
Participants in this brawl (in no order) included, Sparrow, Shawn
Roman, Big Country, Anthony Draven, Brandon Blaze, Jason Kincaid, The
Big Picture, Justin Decent, Ugly, Matty Star, Tony Sly, James Jeffries,
Project Matthew, A.J. Smooth, Nicky Free and Flav.
The last 4 participants in the match were: Sparrow, Project Matthew,
Matty Star and James Jeffries. Weapons were introduced which included a
plastic gnome/elf, computer printer, computer keyboard, Chinese Checks
boardgame, steel chair, shovel, etc. After a couple eliminations, it
came down to Sparrow (who entered the brawl and #1) and Project Matthew
(who entered the brawl last). Project Matthew threw Sparrow over the
top rope thinking he had eliminated but forgot about the rules
changing. Sparrow hit a cross body off the top rope and got the pinfall
on Project Matthew. Some of the wrestlers came out and celebrated with
Sparrow.
Overall, a fun season-opener night for Impact Pro Wrestling at the IPW
Vault. The IPW Vault wasn't filled to capacity this night, but the fans
that were there enjoyed all of the action IPW provided. It was great to
see the Fans of Indies make a long trip to see the IPW Vault and the
IPW show in Algona. They are the definition of true IPW Fans.

Matty Star defeats Nicky Free, Matty Star's star is on the rise, no IPW
performer is more hated right now with the exception of Flav himself.
Time of the fall was 9:57.
Thrillcat and Ugly looked very strong together in taking the measure of
Ian Beef Wellington and Project Matthew who also wrestled a tough
match. Time of the fall was 16:19!
The intermission was a success and a failure because many people took
part, and then many people left.
James Jeffries defeated Shawn The One Night Stand Roman in a tough
match, Roman has not lost a step and actually looks better and tougher.
He pissed the crowd off.
The time of the fall 10:38.
Speaking of pissing the crowd off, Rory Fox looked great against Tony
Sly who eked out a victory, Time 9:48. Classic Rory Fox and classic
Baak Bakk from Sly.
Good stick work and emoting from Fox!
Mitch Paradise gained a dq victory in 12:06 over A-J Smooth however
there was a hair stipulation attached to the match and A-J had some
locks shorn. Paradise wrestled 3 on 1 basically, and A-J wrestled with
a furious passion, Paradise chased Flav and gave him what appeared to
be the scare of his life. Matty Star also seconded at ring side.

Impact Pro Wrestling visits the Humboldt County Fair!
7/24/09 Friday night with a 7-P-M Bell time.
The special guest was eight time Worlds Heavyweight Champion Harley
Race.
Belly and Salsa Dancer Sonata entertained the crowd
with three numbers prior to bell time with an in ring performance.
The referees for the night were Travis Arrowood and Kyle Anderson.
The venue was the Grandstand of the Humboldt County Fair
at Humboldt, an outoor venue. The IPW`s Big Picture Ashton Christopher
handled the sound chores.
Chuck Shockley of KHBT and KLGA did the announcing chores.
The ring was set up close to the stands with some grandstand seating
and some ringside seating as well. A makeshift dressing area was set up
nearby, a table was set up as Harley Race sold pictures, paperback
editions of his biography and action figures of himself. James Jeffries
provided assistance to Harley.
Here are some thumbnail results, fellow posters should add their two
cents worth.
A promo took place featuring Manager Flav the Master Pimpologist, IPW
Champion A-J Smooth, and T-S Agressor
all three promised to take care of business.
T-S Agressor defeated Johny Fitness, the time of the pinfall was 8:30.
Montoya X and Rory Fox defeated the combination of Brian Breaker and
Ryan Drugger, the time of the fall was 11:26.
Nicky Free was declared the winner by disqualifacation over A-J Smooth
in 4:30, there was a beatdown and a run in that included an appearance
by Humboldt County Sheriff Dean Krueger, the run in set up a six man
tag match in the Main Event of the evening.
During Intermission there were autographs and merchandise sold by
Harley Race, also from the other wrestling superstars, music and a
social time.
The Weather for the event was very splendid, late July northern Iowa
weather, earlier in the night Ashley Pederson the Humboldt County Fair
Queen and her runner up sang the national anthem.
The skies were partly cloudy and a there was a breeze from the north,
much better weather than what was seen a week earlier at Beadle Park at
Cresco where the temperature was 58 at bell time and a 10 mile per hour
breeze blew as well making it seem like a football Friday night in late
September or October.
In a three way dance, hometown boy Brandon Blaze beat both Jayson
Kinkaide and Project Matthew in 12:07.
Tony Sly defeated Matty Star in 8:37.
In a six man tag team match: Johny Fitness Nicky Free and Humboldt
County Sheriff Dean Krueger defeated A-J Smooth, T-S Agressor and Flav
in 18:47.
The I-P-W ring was set up on a track normally used for harness racing
at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds.
During the match between Tony Sly and Matty Star, Star snapped the
bottom ring rope which was disabled for the rest of the night, this
took place in a semi final event between the two, Kyle Anderson was
officiating at the time.
A mixed demographic witnessed the wrestling card as usual.
there were non participating IPW participants and luminaries on hand in
support of the wrestling card including IPW Promoter Troy Peterson,
wife Caroline and child and others.
8-time World Champion Harley Race Addressed the crowd at the tail end
of intermission, he thanked the crowd for its attendance and hoped all
were enjoying themselves, he says he runs the WLW Promotion based out
of Eldon Missouri and spoke two of the two wrestlers who traveled with
him Brian Breaker and Ryan Druggar to wrestle on the card from his
training facility there.
This match was probably the best opener ever. Thrillcat really got the
crowd going with some of his crazy anticts like shooting the water gun
at Billy J. Montoya X was excellent at getting under the crowd's skin,
insulting the "craphole" that was Cresco. Overall, the match didn't
dissapoint. Montoya hit his diving splash, but it was not enough to
keep Thrillcat down when his signature "Jump Up" music came on. The
crowd, especially the kids (which was probably about 80% of the crowd)
thought the match was great as well. The kids next to me said two
remarks that I thought just proved how well these two did: "Screw
Delanie's Party, this is way more fun" and "I wanna do this when I grow
up!"
This is my nomination for best match of the night. Matty Star and Rory
Fox were - simply put - astounding as heels and really got the crowd
upset. Some of Ugly's headbutts really got some reaction, especially
the Rolling Somersault Diving Splash Heabutt To the Balls in the
Turnbuckle...of Doom (which should be the Official Name of it). Suzie
got quite the reaction and JustIn is one of the wittiest people in IPW.
The crowd really liked the Powerbomb.
A great match where AJ sneakily defended his Impact Pro Wrestling
title. To a guy that needs nothing more to be hated, AJ continues to
come up with genious things. The black and pink combo added with the
pink streaks in the hair and the "Got Awesome?" shirt are priceless.
James was flying all over the place with his calf kicks and wheelbarrow
bulldogs, topping it all off with a very clean Shiranui. Unfortunately,
the idiot we have as a referee (just kidding, I love you Billy, you're
my role model ;D) was distracted when the pin came and AJ was able to
get a roll-up pin for the win.
Another fun match-up which was complimented with the fact that there
was no ceiling. A lot of high-flying flips and such were to be had as
Sparow used some impressive tactics to breakdown Ian. However, Beef had
some of his own tricks up his sleeve with moves like that Cartwheel
Elbow into the Corner. Just a great match in general.
Okay, so here's the deal. We have the hometown favorite future star
Nicky Free fighting against one of IPW's most charismatic heels,
Marshal Scott. What's not to like? Free was really able to control the
moment and be a star during these 15-Minutes of Fame. Although Scott
came out with a roaring offense, including his signature Lightning
Spiral, he was never able to completely knock down the big man known as
Nicky Free. The biggest interest of the match, however, was quite
possibly Flav. Some of those kids were FREAKING RABID! I got a kick out
of Billy J pushing away a kid who kept hitting Flav with a Pixie Stik.
Billy, I guess he wasn't aware of the (and I quote) "No hitsies, no
hits". After that, the kids thought it'd be funny to steal Flav attire.
Overall, every element of a good match was there and it was just a good
time.

A very nice way to start off the night. After a whole lot of chain
wrestling, Marshal finally got the advantage and worked over the arm of
Nicky for much of the match. Free, however, was able to pull through
and give Nicky some stiff blows in returns, finishing it all of with a
Diving Elbow Drop.
The match, overall, was great. I noticed that when Sparrow hit his
first Hurricanrana of the night, jaws were dropping in the crowd.
Draven does a great job at being a hate-able heel. I was extremely
impressed with the energy that Sparrow was emanating to the crowd.
To start things off, I loved the headbutt to the microphone. Flav and
Ian are a great combination because they both come off as so bombastic
and pretentious that you just can't help but hate them. Big Country has
also improved a lot since the first time I saw him. I thought that,
overall, it was a match that was strung together very nicely. I'm sure
if Billy J would've been there, that low blow would've never have
happened ;) ;)
Personally, my candidate for Match of the Night, excluding the Battle
Royal. Cito went overall really well with the crowd and Big Picture was
one of the most hated men of the night. Cito was able to bounce back
from Big Pictures's Finisher - The Kodak Moment (Flatliner, Complete
Shot) - to hit his "video game perfect" Code Red (Yoshi Tonic, Flipping
Powerbomb)
Jayson has impressed me so much. I don't know if he was being
influenced by the fans or if he just drank three gallons of Monster,
but the energy that he was giving was exploding. Project Matthew is, in
my opinion, one of IPW's best technical wrestlers and a guy that I hope
is still around when I get to the wrestling point. Project Matthew
finished of the night when Kinkade attempted a Crossbody off the top
rope. Matthew caught him on his shoulders and through him onto the top
rope for the Power Chord (Rope Assisted Neckbreaker, Siakolypse).
Previous to the Battle Royal, Matthew was talking smack about wanting a
piece of the big man. Finally, Fitness was pissed off enough to show
him a thing or two. The final four were Flav, Kinkade, Fitness, and
Matthew. Flav was eliminated, followed by Kinkade. It came down to the
two. Fitness was barely hanging on while on the ring apron when Matthew
attempted a Flying Forearm to finish it off. However, the Fit Man was
able to get the rope down and PM went sailing over it. A great way to
end off the night and the crowd (especially the second row closest to
the bathroom) was loving it.

A fantastic way to open the show. Of course, Gur...I mean Brandon Blaze
was awesome. I had a fun time with the shirt and the sign and all the
things. Sparrow is one of my favorite guys in the entire company. Give
him another year and he'll be flying everywhere. If people didn't know,
I sat by Chuck during the match, and he made me laugh throughout the
whole thing.
Justin is so much fun to watch. Ugly has headbutts of doom. Ian has
grown so much as a heel that it's not even funny. Flav, however, is
somebody who I didn't realize had so much ability, especially crowd
interaction type things. He's one of those guys that, once he starts
talking, you can't hear what he's saying because the crowd is so mad at
him!
Halarious! I really wished that I would've introduced myself to Daivari
moreso then I did. I probably looked like a complete idiot walking up
and saying something along the lines of "hey" then walking away. But
the match was hysterical. I knew the Magic Carpet Ride was coming soon.
I'm not sure if there ever will be a match between these two guys that
I won't enjoy. They just have ring styles that compliment each other so
well that it's almost impossible not to get sucked into the atmosphere
of the match. BAK BAK BAK!
Easily, my vote for best match of the night. It was great to see
Fitness back in action. Talk about a fantastic overall performer. Of
course, you have TS, who matches Fitness in every aspect. Then there is
AJ Smooth who not only is a great wrestler, but he's a comical genious
on the mic. And then Montoya X, who is one of the most athletic big men
that I know. Just overall, a great way to end the show.
