Results of the July
20, 2007 Centerville, Iowa Appanoose
County Fair
Show thoughts by Troy Peterson
Centerville was a
blast!! I stopped counting people at 500 with an
entire bleacher section to go!! We will call the official total 550+!
That was a great atmosphere. I was thinking that the free grandstand
would create a good crowd for us. What I didn't realize is that we were
the ONLY thing at the fair. No midway, no other attractions. If you
came to the fair on Friday you were there to see IPW. With $6 entry the
fair board was extremely happy with how everything went. As were we.
The crowd was ROWDY, which was fantastic! I know fans can be a little
harsh especially after The Inhumane Society got under their skin like
they did. The scene of having 100+ kids standing the entire show 6 deep
on ONE side of the ring going nuts was quite the scene. "Clay Flav"
took a ton of abuse from them and handled it incredibly well. I thought
everyone did just a fantatic job. having WLW represented with Derek
Mcquin and Brandon Tatum was a lot of fun. They were great to have
aruond in and out of the ring. Brandon had me incredibly worried that
he had tore his arm out of its socket. Nice going! Frosty and Johny
Whicker did a great job in their roles as ref and ring announcer!
Thanks you guys for stepping up. I do always miss hanging out with
Steve and Billy J, but Trick Pony and a virus prevented them from
taking part
Of course if you were paying attention closely you realized that Eisman
help bring a little extra FLAVor to the show. Great job!! Do you know
how to do websites?? J/K Matt! You were missed! Freak and Christine
were awesome to see again. Freak and Chance had an awesome turnbuckle
spot that the crowd loved!! Nice job! Buck Albright was good to have
around, but you have to be careful what you say when you don't know who
is around the corner of the trailer
!! Chief and Havyk had a good big man match that the crowd was solidly
behind. Chief was sporting the pink mohawk... Classic!!! TS Aggressor
VS Ian "Beef" Wellington had the crowd in frenzy. Ian has really turned
up the enthusiam a few notches and it shows. BTW Ian, you owe Brandon
Tatum some money
The reason this is funny is that Ian had a ton of pictures made and
sold all of them to the fanatic Centerville fans! Great stuff to see!
2nd Coming VS Matty Star and Supa Cito Kid was as good as I hoped it
would be! Those guys were MOVIN!! I didn't see the Montoya X vs
"Terrible" Tony Sly, but I heard the crowd and that was enough to know
that they were WAY into it! Frog Splash was great! Derek Mcquin and AJ
Smooth really did a fantastic job. I sat ringside during that match and
was really impressed by both. Shawn looked great out there and proved
he is more than ready to go! I want to give a huge thanks to the
Appanoose County Fair board for bringing us in! Gary and Sue were great
people and I am happy to call them friends! I hope they had as much fun
as we did! We have never had as many people approach us after the show
about how fun it was. The Sheriffs I spoke with said they enjoyed the
show and thought the crowd was well behaved!! They then went on to say
that for the demo derby they have over 20 officers on hand!! that is
nuts. They actually had to cancel the demo derby a few years back after
so many fights broke out they had to bring in the paddy wagon to get
everybody to jail! A VERY animated crowd to say the least! I just
thought it was about as good of night as I have ever had around a night
of wrestling! Thanks to everyone that made this such a great night for
Caroline and I and everyone involved with Impact Pro Wrestling!!
THANKS!!! |

Good
crowd on hand. Heard estimates of 250-300. Harley was a great guy to
meet and was great with the fans. The show was outside on the dirt race
track in front of the GrandStand. A great night to have an outdoor
show. Not too hot and sunny! |
Results of the June
23, 2007 IPW and 3XW co-promoted Delta Show:
Results provided by Johny Fitness
Good Show at the Delta Dome last night..With all the
girlfriends, wives, and staff there were about 100 people in
attendence..For actual numbers contact THE DON if interested...
Supa Cito vs Aaron Masterson--- Good opener..Masterson controlled much
of the match with some outside help from his manager...In the end Supa
Cito hit a really sick looking CODE RED to pick up the win...
Crotch
vs Buck Albright- An animated Crotch worked the crowd really hard..Buck
looked very poised and professional..Nice back and forth action...Buck
picked up the win after finally securing the Samoan Drop....Crotch has
really improved from the last time i saw him in action.....Great Match
Second Coming vs Jimmy Rockwell & Beef Wellington - Cordova and
Cross resorted to their usual tactics after being out wrestled
early..Rockwell withstood a long heat and Beef had a emotional hot
tag..Second Coming has the best Double Team moves in the bidness...
Second Coming picks up the win...
I missed the 8 man tag.....
MR.
Destiny vs Montoya X- A couple heavy hitters colliding.Montoya looks
mean and Destiny had a Freaky combination of size, hardness and
sweat..Alson a busted up eye from the night before..Destiny controlled
much of the match..The hard headed Montoya withstood and was able to
catch the big man in a power slam and a few other big moves...Montoya
got his knees up as Destiny went for a Vader bomb and followed up with
an STO to pick up one of the biggest wins of his career...
Brian Ash /AJ SMOOTH VS Bryce Benjamin/Matty Starr w/Candy?- Bryce and
Matty looked way to quick and took the upper hand on Ash &
Smooth..Smooth was able to reverse an Irish whip and Ash pulled the
rope down to finally gain control... Good action and very emotional
tags by Bryce and Matty..Flav,managing Ash and Smooth, found himself in
an interesting position with Candy? as they rolled around center ring
trading slaps, punches and gropes..Bryce and Matty picked up the win
with perfectly timed moonsaults out of the corner on both Ash &
Smooth to secure the DOUBLE PIN..
The crowd made more and more noise as the show went on and throughly
enjoyed themselves..
It was good to see some fans i hadn't seen for quite awhile..It was
also nice to catch up with Brian Ash and a few others that i hadn't
seen in way to long...
Great to see the 3x guys and some of
their new talent and some of their stars...Bryce Benjamin was very
impressive and looks like hed fit right in the TNA X Division..
I have to say thanks to Devin Carter,Gage Octane,Casanova and the crew
that rolled into THE JUNCTION to catch the after show festivities...
MR. DESTINY will be missed BIG TIME..On a wrestling level and
friendship level i will miss seeing you in the person on a regular
basis..Best Wishes with the Texas move..

Incredible turnout tonight at The
Vault! I wish I could of been there
to see what I was told to be "Not one empty chair in the place." I am
getting secondhand info, but I was told that matches were solid and the
main event was F'n nuts. I hope party animal Billy J checks in with a
complete report.
The
debut of Big Country and Justin Decent ended with a Big Country
chokeslam and win for th big man. Justin Decent got a great reaction
from the crowd and his gimmick was hillarious.
Tony Sly with
Flav picked up a big win over Project Matthew. PM was on fire with the
crowd and Tony Sly was as hated as ever by the lively crowd. The end
came when Flave thwarted Matthew's finisher and Tony Sly took advantage
with a groin shot and a roll-up for the win.
Shawn Wolman and
Ian "beef" Wellington defeated the Marshal Scott & Anthony Draven.
Everyone but Ian was having their debut match in an IPW ring. I was
told that these guys were working their ass off in the ring and Shawn
was lighting up the crowd with his in-ring charisma. Great job by
everyone! Even Ian looked good in there flying around

Supa
Cito VS Mr. Destiny. Nobody gave The Kid a chance in there with the big
man. Especially considering Destiny has wanted Cito dead for the last 4
months. The ending came with Supa Cito Kid making good on his promise
by body slamming the guy that is well over twice his size!! He then
climbed the ropes and went for the huge swanton for the win.
AJ Smooth defeated
Montoya X. I didn't get a chance to hear about this match. I will edit
this when I find out.

JOhny
Fitness vs TS Aggressor in a falls count anywhere, fans bring the
weapons, Algona Streetfight. That has to be the longest match title in
wrestling history. The fight went all over the building highlighted by
Fitness nailing TS with a guitar that a fan brought in!! The match
ended with Fitness putting TS through a table for the win with the
crowd going nuts!!

Sounds like a great show that I can't wait to see on DVD. Can't wait to
see everyone tomorrow!!

2)
Ian "The Beef" Wellington and Montoya X went to a No Contest as
Wellington injured his knee towards the end of the match. A.J. Smooth
came out to talk Montoya X into joining the Inhumane Society. Montoya
gave Smooth a STO and helped Wellington to the back.

3) Matty
Star (w/ Wicked Lester Brody) defeated "Torturous" Tony Sly (w/ Flav)
with a schoolboy rollup shortly after Matty missed a 450 splash.

15 minute Intermission
4)
Hair vs. Belts...2nd Coming (Vin Cross and Chance Cordova) defeated The
Star Spangled Bad Asses (Havyk and Project Matthew) with a Spike
Piledriver to win the IPW Tag Team belts.

5) Johny Fitness
picked up a win over T.S. Aggressor. T.S had won the match but then
T.S. used brass knuckles on Johny Fitness and the referee (Mike Frost)
reversed the decision and gave Fitness the win.

6) Supa Cito Kid (IPW Extreme Champion) defeated A.J. Smooth (IPW
Heavyweight Champion) in a Non-Title match.

Overall,
a good show was had. KIMT TV was there to film all of the night's
action. A good crowd was on hand and were entertained. Thanks to
Referee Mike Frost by filling in on a couple of matches.
After
the show, time was spent at the Vault with friends...then the bandwagon
headed over to the Lava Lounge as drinks, pizza and jello shots were
found all over, more drinks and dancing took place. I was even spotted
on the dance floor during the Cha-Cha slide. |

watched the show. Alot of kids in the audience. The crowd was really
into the matches and showed major support for Havyk.
After party was held
at Bec's Pizza in the same place as
the show. Thanks for the FREE keg beer! Pizza, beer, and talk was had.
Then we packed things up and headed to Eldora to The Firehouse. Drinks
and good times were had. One by one, people started to make their
departures back home. After everyone left, me and Havyk were the last
ones in the joint. Almost saw a bar fight go down between one of the
ringside fans at the show and some other guy. After they cooled down,
me and Havyk took off to end the night.
Next show is Saturday, May 12th in Algona, Iowa @ The VAULT!!!! BE
THERE!!!

Here are some quick results from
the April 21st IPW show in Delta, Iowa:

Destiny and A.J. Smooth)

1) Vin Cross defeated Ian "The Beef" Wellington in the first match of
the night with a pinfall.
2)
Mr. Destiny defeated 2 guys (sorry, didn't catch the names) in separate
matches. If you lasted 5 min. without getting pinned/submitting, the
winner received $5000 from Destiny. Matty Starr came out and introduced
The Chief. The Chief lasted 5 min. to receive the win and the $5000
check.
3) Supa Cito Kid defeated Chance Cordova in a Singapore
Cane on a Pole Match. Supa Cito Kid hit Cordova with the cane to retain
the IPW Extreme Title.
Intermission
4) T.S. Aggressor
defeated Buck Albright with the Roll of the Dice.

5)
The Star Spangled Bad Asses (Havyk and Project Matthew) defeated
Torturous Tony Sly and Latin Thunder (with a valet). Havyk speared Sly
to retain the IPW Tag Team Titles.

6) Matty Starr beat A.J.
Smooth by DQ as Smooth hit Starr with the IPW Belt. Smooth retained the
IPW Title due to the disqualification.

Overall, a good show. The crowd was
fewer than normal but they enjoyed the action.
I
got a little too involved during the main event. Starr had fans at ring
side chop A.J. Smooth. Starr asked me to chop Smooth, which I
hesitantly did. T.S. Aggressor came running to the ring. He attemted to
punch my lights out with his left fist which I barely ducked and layed
a chop into him and kicked him out of the ring. Luckily I was able to
establish order in the ring thereafter.
After show, a
great time was had at The Junction in Delta, Iowa!

the Delta Dome
Review done by Billy J
All of the action was reffed by none other than SENIOR
IPW REFEREE....REFEREE BILLY J.!!!!!!!
Steve
Shettler comes out at the beginning of the show and announces to the
crowd his big announcement...he is going to retire since he was slammed
through a table last show and has his family to worry about if he gets
hurt. The Inhumane Society (T.S. Aggressor, Mr. Destiny and A.J.
Smooth) come out. T.S. Aggressor and Destiny take out Shettler as Troy
Peterson is held down by A.J. Smooth. Mr. Destiny and T.S. Aggressor
give Shettler a piledriver. Shettler is carried to the back and into a
waiting ambulance.
ANNOUNCEMENT
FOR MARCH 3RD IN DELTA...MTV's Wrestling Society X wrestler TYLER BLACK
will be in action!
Troy Peterson announces the first match...
1)
First round of Tag Team Title Tournament.... Project Matthew/Havyk
defeated 2nd Coming (Chance Cordova/Vin Cross) to move on to the Finals
at the end of the night.
2)
T.S. Aggressor/Mr. Destiny defeat
Thrillcat/Freak/Underdogg in the 2nd round of Tag Team Title Tourney to
move on to the Finals.
Troy
Peterson gives ring announcing duties to David Spooner for the rest of
the show.
3)
Supa Cito Kid defeats Montoya X in a TLC Extreme Title match. Supa Cito
Kid puts Montoya X through a table off of the steel ladder and Supa
Cito grabs the Extreme Title to become the new champ. I (Billy J.) get
the most heat of the night for setting up the table that Montoya
brought into the ring. In my defense, Montoya was going to beat me up
if I didn't do it.
Intermission
The debut of Ian
Wellington occurred next. Ian is an up and coming wrestler right here
from Southeast Iowa.
2nd
Coming (Vin Cross/Chance Cordova) come out and want to be the first
ones to welcome Wellington to IPW. 2nd Coming start to beat down Ian as
they rip off his shirt. The girls in the crowd screamed at this point.
Ian came back and took out 2nd Coming single-handedly.
4)
Tony Sly (w/Flav) defeats Buck Albright

5) A.J. Smooth defeats Matty Star for the IPW Heavyweight Belt.

6) Project Matthew/Havyk defeat Inhumane Society(T.S. Aggressor/Mr.
Destiny) to win the IPW Tag Titles.

January 20th, 2007 Algona,
Iowa at the Vault
Review done by Johny Fitness
Chuck Shockley introduced
Ref Billy J and got the
action under way...Super Luke Arrowood handled bell ringing duties and
Heather worked the sound...

Buck Albright vs Johny Fitness- I
felt the crowd was pretty good for an opener.Fitness out wrestled
Albright to begin with..Buck
eventully gained the upper hand and worked
the back. After some back and forth action towards the end,Johny Fitness
picked up the win with a cross body from the top rope...Winner Johny
Fitness
Cordova/Cross(Second Coming) vs
Supa Cito & Ian
"Beef" Wellingtonw/Velvet - I didnt get to see much of this
match..Crowd

Mr. Destiny vs Kenny
Backwash- Backwash hit the ring
hard with fists flying and had Mr. Destiny reeling..Destiny regained
composure with one big right hand and took control for the majority of
the match..Late in the contest T.S. ran in to help Destiny,Backwash
fought them off. While Ref Billy J was escorting T.S. to the dressing
room SUPA Cito charged the ring and hit a huge Hurracarauna on Destiny
from the tope rope..This led to an exciting ending in which Backwash
hit a big WICKED LESTER on Destiny who was trapped in the
ropes...Backwash wins in a pretty big upset....
INTERMISSION
Tony Sly with Flav vs Havyk- Sly and
Flav IMO draw as much heat as anyone at the VAULT..Good match that
looked like Havyk was going to come out on top had it not been for the
Sneaky tricks of Flav...Tony Sly picks up the pinfall..After the match
Havyk grabbed Flav, who was standing a lil to close to the ring, and did
an upright row with his entire body until he was in the ring.Havyk hit
a few jabs on Flav and hit one of those crazy sideways spears on
him...The crowd went nuts..

Matty Starr vs Montoya X vs A.J.
Smooth- Matty started way hot and had both X & Smooth dazed and
confused..Matty hit a huge crossbody from the top rope to the floor to
keep the dynamic duo lost in space..Eventually they overtook Matty and
pounded him...Once Matty seemed ready for the taking X & Smooth
started to argue and fight about who should pin him...This opened the
door for a late, emotional rally by Matty to get the pinfall and retain
his IPW Heavyweight Belt...
T.S. vs Project Matthew
in an ALGONA STREETFIGHT-The
action started in the ring with a fired up PM taking early control..TS
cut him off and started a serious beatdown with the help of a VCR and
other foriegn objects..PM withstood the storm gained the upper hand
and
pelted T.S with trashcans and anything else within reach..The action
spilled to the floor, concession stand and every inch of the VAULT..TS
went for a a suplex onto the floor and chairs and was reversed by
PM..PM pulled off a sick looking brainbuster onto the chairs that
looked to be the end for sure.TS managed a kick out at the last
second..The crowd was beserk at this point, they chanted for a table and
PM grabbed a table and threw it into the ring..It looked like the end
with TS on the table but the old timer had a few tricks left in his
bag...A couple durty moves later and PM was on the table with TS
lumbering to the top rope..With the rowdy crowd chanting his name PM
dug deep and reached TS as he got to the tope rope...Time stood still
as PROJECT MATTHEW launched T.S. from the top rope and hit a HUGE
FRIGGIN powerbomb through the table..The Vault erupted as Project
Matthew got the pin and picked up the Biggest Win of his promising
career....
