Kiandra

In the first ever interview with an Impact Pro Wrestling Diva, Kiandra tells us all about how she is breaking into a man's business, her future plans for revenge, and why she is known as the Goddess of IPW.

Davegoheel: So, Kiandra, you and Ferrah Lee are breaking in as two of the first divas in IPW for a long time. How has it been so far?

Kiandra: It's been really great. I think it's great for the fans also to see something different. We're showing that girls really can make it in this male dominated sport. I hope we are inspiring all those female fans out there as well.

Davegoheel: I'm sure that you are. You've been managing Sparow a lot lately. Is there any specific reason you've decided to duo up with him instead of somebody else?

Kiandra: He's just an amazing talent. One of the best up and coming stars in IPW today I believe. I've actually learned a lot from him since I came to IPW.

Davegoheel: He certaintly is, seeing as he has already won the Extreme and is a top contender for the Heavyweight title. But even though your valeting for somebody so successful, at some point you might want to step in the squared circle for youself, don't you? I'm sure somebody with your athletism could teach some of those guys a thing or two.

Kiandra: The guys better watch out for me, because you'll definitely see me in the squared circle one day. I've worked really hard just to get to IPW and I'm not stopping just being a valet.

Davegoheel: When you get in, who's butt are you going to kick first?

Kiandra: After this past week, I'm definitely looking for revenge on Tony Sly. He blatantly attacked me and I'm definitely not going to take that lightly.

Davegoheel: Of course not! You also have one thing that Tony doesn't have anymore: fan support. The vociferous IPW fans can certaintly affect the outcome of a match, but we've seen them turn their backs on people in a heart beat. Why don't you just ditch them now before they ditch you?

Kiandra: I appreciate the support of the fans. Ditching them is not an option.

Davegoheel: That's definitely reassuring to hear. If you ever get the chance, what title would you like to take a shot at?

Kiandra: It would certainly be an honor to go down in history as the first women to hold any of the titles. I think being the Extreme champion would be amazing. Who knows? Maybe there will be a Women's Championship in the future.

Davegoheel: I think it'd be super cool if there was a Women's Championship in the future. I mean, you and Ferrah Lee could both have some pretty long runs as champion. But a champion has to have something that nobody else has. What do you think really sets you out in front of the pack?

Kiandra: Attitude. I've got a big attitude and I'm pretty tough. I might be tougher than some of the guys. I'm not afraid or intimidated by anyone. I work just as hard as everyone else. I definitely don't want to be seen as just another pretty face. As you can tell, I'm not the biggest person in the ring and I'm sure I'll be underestimated on my size alone. I plan on putting some truth behind that line "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."

Davegoheel: That's for sure. Attitude is one of the biggest keys to success, especially in Impact Pro Wrestling. So I've got to ask: what got you interested in wrestling?

Kiandra: I've been a huge fan of wrestling as long as I remember. It has always been something I was very passionate about it. Some women have come along in wrestling as well, and I would love to be another woman who makes an impact.

Davegoheel: Of course women have made an impact on the sport. From Moolah to Mickie James, who has really inspired you to become a better wrestler?

Kiandra: Of course Moolah has paved the way for all female wrestlers out there, so of course she is a huge inspiration. I respect ladies such as Chyna, Ivory, Jacqueline, Gail Kim, Beth Phoenix and Molly Holly too. My biggest inspiration is definitely Mickie James though. She is one of the greatest female wrestlers today in my opinion. She was doubted all the way through her career mainly because of her size, but she didn't let that stop her. She made it her mission to prove all of them wrong. Now she's a 4 time WWE Women's Champion and a 1 time Divas Champion. She worked her butt off to get to where she is. She's been in the ring with some of the best and has pretty much beaten them all. That is very inspiring to me considering her and I are about the same size. It proves that it really can happen. I was also inspired by Lita because she could wrestle in a way no other woman could wrestle. I would love to be able to do some of the things she did in the ring.

Davegoheel: So here in Impact Pro Wrestling, you're basically known as the Goddess of IPW. Is that name just based off of your dashingly good looks or are is there a deeper story to it?

Kiandra: I definitely think my looks have something to do with it. I've been told plenty of times I'm a pretty girl, but like I said earlier, I'm more than just a pretty face. A goddess is a powerful female being. If you've seen me at the shows, you know that I'm a very powerful woman. I haven't backed down from a challenge yet, and I don't intend to anytime soon. I think that has definitely been realized amongst the IPW superstars. I'm pretty sure some of the guys are actually scared of me. So they can call me a goddess, a diva or whatever. Just know that I'm not the girl to mess with.

Davegoheel: What do you think about the current state of Impact Pro Wrestling? Where do you see it going in the next five, ten years?

Kiandra: The current state is pretty awesome I think. There's some amazing talent in the locker room and the fan base is growing. I don't see IPW going anywhere but up. So in five or ten years, I just see IPW being bigger and better.

Davegoheel: What about your own career? Where do you want to be in the future?

Kiandra: Right now, I'm just working hard and focusing on getting in the ring. I just want to be the best I can be, then work even harder to become better than that. In the future, of course I'd love to be a champion of any kind someday. It's a long stretch, but anything is possible.

Davegoheel: One final question: what would you recommend to somebody looking to get into professional wrestling?

Kiandra: I suggest being prepared to work hard because if you don't, you won't be successful. Expect the unexpected. Take great care of yourself and your body. Getting hurt comes along with the territory. It's a long hard road. It's a lot of hard work and you need passion and dedication otherwise you won't make it. If you don't got the heart, don't waste your time. I support anyone who wants to break into this business though and wish them all the best of luck.

Davegoheel: Well thanks for taking the time for this interview. Hopefully we get to see your in ring debut soon!

Kiandra: No, thank you! And you'll see me soon, don't worry.
