Navigation Results Results Davegoheel: Hey Sparow. Lets cut right to
it. Recently,
you lost a pretty important match to Tony Sly. Do you have any plans of
retribution on the dirtbag? Sparrow:
First of all, if Tony Sly
thinks he can get away with pulling my newly aquired valet, Kiandra,
into harms
way, he’s got another thing coming. I’m not gonna cry, whine, and
complain
about losing, although crying and whining seemed to pour out of his
mouth after
he stabbed me in the back in Marion for the IPW title. Sly does deserve
to hold
that title but as far as I’m concerned we have a date on March 6th;
I’m not coming to wrestle, I’m coming for a fight. Davegoheel: I’m sure you know that you
aren’t the only
guy that has their eyes set on the Impact Pro Wrestling Heavyweight
Championship. How are you gonna set yourself ahead of guys like AJ
Smooth,
Nicky Free, and Johny Fitness? Sparrow:
The same
exact way I’ve set myself ahead of everybody else. I didn’t become the
Extreme
Champion of Impact Pro Wrestling by sitting around and watching things
get
done. I went out and got things done. Sign the matches. I’m not shy.
Smooth and
I would tear down the house. Me and Nicky Free would be electrifying
and to
show The Johny Fitness and Sparow in the same ring at the same time
would
change people’s lives forever. I’m all about giving the people exactly
what
they want to see. So sign the bottom line and make it official no
matter who it
is. There is a whole list of IPW superstars, but you know what? Davegoheel: What? Sparrow:
I have
always lived by my own book. I’ve looked the way I wanted to look. I
act the
way I want to act. When I first came onto the scene here I teamed with
Jayson
Kinkaid. We did the team thing but when we went our separate way, we
both grew
tremendously and made names for ourselves. On my own is how it works.
AJ Smooth
and myself have been in the ring together a few times before and even
though he
is a great competitor, we’ve never really seen eye to eye. The respect
is
there, whether AJ likes to admit it or not. But either way, I go where
I choose
to go and as far as changing the world? I’d like to believe one Sparow
can change
the world all by his self. Davegoheel: And I’m sure you can, especially
with the way
your going about it. I understand you’ve recently debuted a new
Facebuster
finisher. Have you named it yet? Sparrow:
It’s not
smart to Hurricanrana someone smaller than you are and I’m not going to
lie to
myself; I can throw around the big guys so you can’t just rely on one
big thing
for everybody. That Facebuster is just one of many moves in the
arsenal. But
you want to call it something? Well then, I guess you can call it “The
Code
Blue” because when you’re in the hospital and you hear somebody yell
out “Code
Blue” you better understand that someone is down for the count. Davegoheel: I know that you have one of the
largest
arsenals in pro wrestling today. Last time we saw you pull out the Code
Blue,
you planted your opponent right into a steel chair. Speaking of
weapons, how is
the extreme title treating you? Sparrow:
Let me tell you one
thing. It’s an honor to hold the IPW Extreme Championship. I just had
my first
title defense against Marshal Scott, a guy who has been around longer
than I
have and it was also an honor to be tested by him, but in the end it
was the
Code Blue onto that steel chair that put him out. I’m very much looking
forward
to the next challenger. Davegoheel: Maybe it’s not necessarily who
can test you,
but what. As extreme champion you have to think about maybe a flaming
barbwire
exploding piranha deathmatch? Sparrow:
You know,
I’m not sure if IPW would sanction such a match, but it doesn’t really
matter
what the situation is. Weapons? Fine. Submission match? Lets do it.
Ladders or
tables or whatever you can draw out of a hat. I hear there is a Fans
Bring the
Weapons match at the next show. The Extreme Title isn’t about how
hardcore you
can be, it’s about how far you gotta push your limits. It’s all about
survival. Davegoheel: Survival is key at anytime in
this crazy
business. So who really inspired you to get into wrestling? Sparrow:
To me,
nothing was cooler than seeing “Stone Cold” Steve Austin come out and
drop
someone with the Stunner. The attitude and intensity was just awesome.
Then I
got into people like the 123 Kid and then Shawn Michaels. To me as a
kid I just
sat and watched these people and thought, “I want to do that.” Davegoheel: What about in IPW? Who have you
learned the
most from? Sparrow:
I’ve got to
say since becoming apart of IPW. I’ve learned a lot from just about
everybody
here. Without a doubt I learned the most from TS and Johny Fitness.
Anytime
either of them had something to teach I was definitely all ears. Those
are the
guys that brought me in. Hopefully everytime you step into that ring
you learn
something new. I’ve also learned a lot from both Smooth and Sly from
being in
the ring with them. Davegoheel: I’m sure you have. Alright, one
final
question. There is no question that your future is bright in Impact Pro
Wrestling. Who else do you think is looking up? Sparrow:
Let me ask
you a question? Who isn’t looking up? With the already established
stars like
Montoya X, Nicky Free, Matty Star, and Marshal Scott out there, and the
guys
popping onto the scene like Jayson Kinkaid, the “ComBac Kid” Michael
Rhoades,
the “One Night Stand” Shawn Roman, the Big Picture, and of course James
Jeffries. IPW has one of the most diverse rosters as far as
personalities. I
mean good God, we got pimps and giants running around here! Our tag
team
champions carry a big ole’ “Ugly” stick and an epidermally-challenged
girlfriend! And now we have “The Natural” Nate Alsin in the house. I’m
here for
all the surprises and personalities that can be thrown at, and besides,
nobody
puts on a show like Impact Pro Wrestling! Davegoheel: Isn’t that the truth!
Well, that’s about all the time we have. Thanks for giving us a deeper
look at
the real Sparrow. Sparrow:
No problem
bro.

Sparow is
one of the most interesting wrestlers in all of the midwest right now.
I was able to fit an interview into his busy schedule to ask him some
of the most important questions: the fans, the moves, the titles, and -
of course - a flaming barbwire exploding deathmatch.
Davegoheel:
Hell yeah! There is
nobody in IPW with the combination of energy, charisma, and athletism
that you
have, and it shines through during your matches. I know that many stars
have
shown an interest in you, specifically AJ Smooth. Have you ever thought
about
teaming with him, turning on the fans, and changing the world of Impact
Pro
Wrestling forever?
